Introduction

Canpic Medical and Education Foundation is a non-profit Section 8 company based in Pune, India, primarily working in the healthcare domain. Inspired by the vision and dedication of late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Eminent Scientist and former President of India, our organization has been interacting on a positive note regarding certain policy matters and project proposals with experts from the World Bank Group, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, NITI Aayog, National Health Agency, New Delhi, Government of India.

Policy advocacy efforts are being put forward to the Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Hyderabad, and the General Insurance Council (GIC), Mumbai. Currently, awareness about major challenges in healthcare and novel solutions is being focused upon.

Routine and Specialized Diagnostic Services: Sonography, X-Ray Imaging, CT Scan, MRI, Pathology, Microbiology (including serious infections), Biochemistry, ECG, EEG, EMG, etc.
Clinical Specialty Services: Services focusing on emerging, general, and occupational health problems, including diabetes and obesity clinic, infectious disorder clinic.
Ambulance Services: Transporting needy patients to and fro.
AYUSH (Ayurvedic) Services: Available at the center.

Projects and Activities

A. Forum for Affordable Healthcare: Healthcare costs are rising rapidly, leading to a growing burden and contributing to poverty. More than 70% of the population in developing countries pay "out-of-pocket" for healthcare, pushing around 100 million people below the poverty line each year. The objective is to offer simple and cost-effective solutions to many health problems on a global scale.
B. Wellness Centre: Focusing on early detection and prevention of disease aimed at reducing treatment costs. The center will identify knowledge gaps in clinical services and work to bridge them. The focus will be on addressing loco-regional health issues, while embracing new technology-based activities, such as using Artificial Intelligence and other IT tools for early disease detection.
